  • How much does bankruptcy cost?
The cost depends on several factors including whether your are filing in chapter 7 or chapter 13 and how complicated or simple your case is. I can tell you how much it will cost if you call me at 330-339-0000.
  • How long does bankruptcy take?
After your case is filed, the time depends on the type of case. 1. If you are in chapter 7, it's about 6 months. 2. If you are in chapter 13, it is usually either 36 or 60 months. I can tell you which at a consultation. On the day you file your chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy, your creditors are ordered not to call you, write you, or sue you.
  • How do I know whether I can file?
Almost everyone can file at least one form of bankruptcy. The type you can file depends primarily on how long ago you filed any prior bankruptcy, your income, and the size of your family. I can tell you what type of bankruptcy you can file and what it will involve. 330-339-0000.
  • Will I lose any property if I file?
There is rarely any risk of loss. I will explain this when we talk. So, you have nothing to worry about.

Her daughter lost her house

Mrs. Smith wanted her daughter to have her house when she died. So, she put her house in her daughter’s name. Three years later, when Mrs. Smith filed for bankruptcy, the bankruptcy trustee sold the property (although it was owned by her daughter) and used the money to pay Mrs. Smith’s creditors. Mrs. Smith's attorney did not know this could happen and did not warn Mrs. Smith.
